Elberta took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Pensacola, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Tigers on Monday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Elberta had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 20-25, 27-25, 25-14, 15-13.

The victory made it two in a row for Elberta and bumps their season record up to 7-15. As for Pensacola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elberta will head out to face off against Baldwin County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pensacola, they will venture away from home to take on Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
