Elberta proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 15) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pensacola Tigers 3-2. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Elberta had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 20-25, 27-25, 25-14, 15-13.

Elberta's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Pensacola, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Elberta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Baldwin County on the 23rd. As for Pensacola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Walton on the 24th.
