Avon dropped down to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against  York/Pavilion, falling  42-21. The  matchup marked the Braves' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
  Kalman Dolgos and  James Chase certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss.  Dolgos gained 85 total yards and two touchdowns, while  Chase rushed for 83 yards and one  touchdown on only ten carries.
As for York/Pavilion,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-1. The result was nothing new for York/Pavilion, who have now won four contests by 21  points or more  so far this season.
  Parker Bonefede was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 101 yards and four  TDs on only 12 carries. Those  four  rushing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Yeriel Diaz-Pena, who rushed for 70 yards and one  score.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Avon is set to  take on  their familiar foe Oakfield-Alabama/Elba  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, York/Pavilion will  face off against  rival Geneseo/Mount Morris  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
