Basketball Recap: Hampton Prep Comes Up Short

Hampton Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 41-15 to North Hills Prep. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Hampton Prep this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-1 on January 7th.

North Hills Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Geetika Yennam led the charge by going 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Yennam a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Vaibhavi Mitakanti, who posted 11 points and five boards.

Hampton Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for North Hills Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
