Basketball Recap: Kaden Ahmaogak's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Alak over Nuiqsut Trapper

Alak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 40-30 to the Nuiqsut Trapper Trappers. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trappers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Alak lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaden Ahmaogak, who posted 11 points. That was a full 36.7% of Alak's points, marking the third time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Alak's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Alak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-28 victory against Kali on the 17th. As for Nuiqsut Trapper, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-31 defeat against Alak on the 18th.
