            Baseball Preview: Collinsville Panthers vs. Fyffe Red Devils        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Collinsville will face off against Fyffe. The Panthers will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against the Red Devils  at 4:30  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Collinsville 4.1, Fyffe 3.4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Collinsville took a six-run  loss the last time they faced off against Fyffe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers came out on top against the Red Devils on Tuesday by a score of  4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
  Jake Middlebrooks was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 Collinsville has  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Fyffe, they moved to 13-5 with that  defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
