Football Recap: Loyola Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Loyola and Redondo Union squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Loyola had to settle for second. They lost to the Sea Hawks at home by a 21-7 margin. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Cubs couldn't quite close it out.

Gavin Grabe threw for 29 yards on one of five attempts. Kane Casani was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards. On the ground, Jayden Rogers rushed for 58 yards and one score.

Loyola now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Redondo Union, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Loyola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Redondo Union, they will take on Rio Hondo Prep at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. The Sea Hawks' defense better be ready for this one: the Kares have averaged an impressive 41.8 points per game this season.
