Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Comes Up Short

Hillsboro fell victim to De Soto and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Pirates. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Hillsboro now has a losing record of 4-5. As for De Soto, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will head out to take on Wonewoc-Center at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for De Soto, they will square off against North Crawford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
