Softball Recap: King George Takes a Loss

King George lost against Riverbend back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Foxes lost 10-4 to the Bears. The Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kallie Slovack made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Summer Stowers, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

King George's record is now 2-2. As for Riverbend, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

King George and Riverbend will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Foxes will face off against rival Culpeper County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverbend is set to square off against their familiar foe Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
