Baseball Recap: Mound-Westonka Takes a Loss

Mound-Westonka dropped their record down to 4-8 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They lost 14-1 to the Delano Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

Max Kraay made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for Delano, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. That looming 14-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

On Delano's side, the team relied heavily on Carter Van Beusekom, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jack Scanlon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Mound-Westonka will square off against Hutchinson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delano, they will challenge Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
