Baseball Game Preview: Middleborough Sachems vs. East Bridgewater Vikings

The Middleborough Sachems will venture away from home to square off against the East Bridgewater Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Middleborough has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, it was close, but Middleborough sidestepped New Bedford for a 5-4 victory.

Meanwhile, East Bridgewater narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Silver Lake Regional 5-3. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Middleborough is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Bridgewater, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Middleborough came out on top in a nail-biter against East Bridgewater in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sachems since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
