Softball Game Preview: Bishop Union Broncos vs. Frazier Mountain Falcons

The Bishop Union Broncos will head out on the road to challenge the Frazier Mountain Falcons at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Union will be strutting in after a win while Frazier Mountain will be coming in after a loss.

Bishop Union took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Kern Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Bishop Union came out on top in a nail-biter against Kern Valley on Thursday, sneaking past 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Cambrie Lanphear was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Laila Beall, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Frazier Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-6 to Desert.

Frazier Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bishop Union, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Bishop Union's way against Frazier Mountain when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Bishop Union made off with a 19-3 victory. Will Bishop Union repeat their success, or does Frazier Mountain has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
