Soccer Recap: Swansboro Takes a Loss

Swansboro fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Dixon on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. Swansboro haven't had much luck with Dixon recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Swansboro's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3-4. As for Dixon, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-1.

Swansboro and Dixon will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Pirates see the pitch they'll take on Southwest Onslow at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Dixon, their break will end when they face Topsail at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
