Basketball Recap: Dime Box Comes Up Short

Dime Box was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 77-18 loss at the hands of the Rogers Eagles.

Ta'Niyah Auston was Dime Box's leading scorer, having posted ten points.

Rogers got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyra Yates out in front who posted 20 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Yates has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Layla Walker, who put up 14 points in addition to six steals and five boards.

Dime Box's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rogers, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Dime Box wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-39 win against Tournament Opponent on the 6th. As for Rogers, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-21 victory against Holland on the 6th.
