Softball Game Preview: DeKalb Barons vs. Huntington North Vikings

DeKalb hasn't had much luck against Huntington North recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Barons will head out to challenge the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, DeKalb came up short against Columbia City and fell 7-2. The Barons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DeKalb saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Summer Haverstock, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Huntington North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Warsaw, falling 13-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Vikings' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Huntington North's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for DeKalb, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
