Volleyball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Leland Chargers. The 76ers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 18-25, 25-16.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Leland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Independence is set to face off against their familiar foe Evergreen Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Leland will square off against rival Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
