Bayfield won the last time they faced Telluride, and Renae Foutz did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bayfield Wolverines put the hurt on the Telluride Miners with a sharp 36-13 win on Saturday thanks in part to Foutz, who posted 17 points and seven steals. She is becoming a predictor of Bayfield's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 4-2 (and 2-13 when she doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Kimball Anderson, who had seven points and six steals. What's more, she also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Bayfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Telluride, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayfield will welcome Montezuma-Cortez at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Telluride, they will be playing at home against Ridgway at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
