Softball Recap: Pike County Bulldogs vs. Opp Bobcats
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pike County can now relate to. They lost 15-5 to the Opp Bobcats on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-0 loss on Monday.
Pike County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paloma Cain, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Cain's first of the season. Skileigh Sharp was another, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
This is the second loss in a row for Pike County and nudges their season record down to 7-17. As for Opp, their win bumped their record up to 19-17.
Pike County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Opp, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Straughn on the 5th.
