Football Game Preview: Eastern Ramblers vs. Jackson-Reed Tigers + How To Watch

Eastern is 2-8 against Jackson-Reed since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ramblers will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Jackson-Reed took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastern, who comes in off a win.

Eastern is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Ron Brown, who was ranked 21st at the time (Eastern was ranked tenth). The Ramblers breezed past the Monarchs to the tune of 50-8 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ramblers.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jackson-Reed challenged Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering on Friday. The Tigers lost to the Panthers on the road by a 35-20 margin. On the bright side, the 20- point performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring game to date.

Jackson-Reed's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Eastern against Jackson-Reed in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 48-6 victory. In that contest, the Ramblers amassed a halftime lead of 26-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
