Volleyball Recap: El Camino Finds Home Court Redemption Against Valley Center

There's no place like home for El Camino, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Valley Center Jaguars on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

El Camino never let Valley Center on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was RJ Gabut-Rivas, who had 21 digs. Another player making a difference was Rylee Pressley, who had seven digs and three aces.

El Camino was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The victory got El Camino back to even at 12-12. As for Valley Center, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.

Coming up, El Camino will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ramona at 5:30 p.m. As for Valley Center, they will welcome Calvin Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
