Soccer Recap: Newaygo Takes a Loss

Newaygo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Big Rapids Cardinals. Newaygo were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Big Rapids earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Newaygo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-4. As for Big Rapids, their win bumped their record up to 6-10-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newaygo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Montague at 5:00 p.m. on October 6. As for Big Rapids, they will take on Reeths-Puffer at 11:30 a.m. on October 4.
