Softball Recap: Port Gibson Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Port Gibson's offense. They came up short against the Wesson Cobras on Thursday, falling 18-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 last Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Port Gibson and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Wesson, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Port Gibson will be playing in front of their home fans against South Pike at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wesson, they are taking a road trip to square off against Florence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
