Baseball Recap: Pueblo Comes Up Short

Pueblo lost to Nogales on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors came up short against the Apaches, falling 15-5. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly ten runs.

Omar Soto was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Amare Martinez, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Pueblo and nudges their season record down to 3-22. As for Nogales, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Pueblo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nogales, they are taking a road trip to take on Salpointe Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Apaches' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
