Doniphan West is 8-2 against Linn since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m.

Doniphan West is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Troy just ended the team's five-game winning streak two weeks ago. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 57-35. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Linn, who bounced back after a loss on the road on December 14th. They came out on top against Onaga by a score of 46-37 two weeks ago. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Linn's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Doniphan West, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Doniphan West was able to grind out a solid victory over Linn in their previous matchup back in February, winning 57-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Doniphan West since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
