Softball Game Preview: Bandera BULLDOGS vs. Comfort Bobcats/Deer

Bandera is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Comfort a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Bandera BULLDOGS will look to defend their home field against the Comfort Bobcats/Deer at 7:00 p.m. Bandera has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Bandera's tournament run continued when they took on Jones on Saturday. Bandera lost 12-6 to Jones.

Bailey Word made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mia Ranly, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Comfort came up short against St. Anthony on Saturday and fell 9-6.

Jordan Judkins was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 13 contests. Kaydence Stehling was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Comfort's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bandera, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went Bandera's way against Comfort in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Bandera made off with a 14-3 win. Will Bandera repeat their success, or does Comfort have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
