Soccer Recap: Geneva Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Geneva after they claimed the first goal on Saturday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Perry Pirates by a score of 2-1. Geneva were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Perry apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Geneva's goal came courtesy of Paxton Galliazzo, who's now up to ten this season.

Geneva has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-1 record this season. As for Perry, the win snapped their losing streak at six matches and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Geneva wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 10-1 victory against Conneaut on the 23rd. As for Perry, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 loss against Harvey on the 23rd.
