Basketball Recap: Compass Academy Comes Up Short

Compass Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Brownfield Cubs and fell 61-22. Compass Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-8.

Madyson Wright was Compass Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points. Sareyah Hinojoz took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Compass Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Brownfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-19.

Compass Academy will take on Denver City at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brownfield, they will face off against Lamesa at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
