Baseball Recap: Richwood Comes Up Short

Richwood lost against Webster County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lumberjacks lost 16-1 to the Highlanders. The Lumberjacks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Richwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Hamon, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Owen Wayne also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Richwood's record is now 3-6. As for Webster County, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richwood will square off against Paden City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Webster County, they will face off against Gilmer County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
