Homewood-Flossmoor extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They enjoyed a cozy 60-43 victory over the Bloom Blazing Trojan. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly 17 points.

As for Bloom, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Homewood-Flossmoor: they've now lost seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Bloom lost, don't look at Keiwon Gulley. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-12 en route to 16 points and five steals. Gulley continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Xavier Martin, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 10 points and six boards.
