Recap: Bovina Mustangs vs. Accelerate Christian Warriors
The Bovina Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Accelerate Christian 62-21 at home. That 62-21 margin sets a new team best for Bovina this season.
Bovina's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Angel Lara, who scored 14 points. Lara continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Solis, who scored ten points.
Bovina has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-10 record this season. As for Accelerate Christian, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-11.
Bovina and McLean will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on December 28th at. McLean comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Accelerate Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Silverton at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th. Silverton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Accelerate Christian in Texas (Silverton is ranked 681st, while Accelerate Christian is ranked 1567th).
