Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is West Creek's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

On Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the West Creek Coyote beat the McEwen Warriors 53-48. Given the Coyote's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Warriors are ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Creek is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for McEwen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

West Creek will host Dickson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McEwen, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Camden Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
