Basketball Recap: Acen Gobert's Big Game Can't Quite Lead the Ehrhart School over Texas Christian

The Ehrhart School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Texas Christian Tigers, falling 67-41.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Acen Gobert, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 23 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Byars, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

The Ehrhart School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Texas Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, The Ehrhart School will be home for the holidays to greet Woodville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodville will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something The Ehrhart School surely won't give up without a fight. As for Texas Christian, they will head out to face off against Houston Adventist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Texas Christian will be up against Houston Adventist Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
