It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Germantown Friends ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Abington Friends 11-10. Germantown Friends' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Germantown Friends' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Abington Friends, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.
