Baseball Recap: Rifle Triumphs

Rifle's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Battle Mountain Husky by a score of 10-5. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Husky: they've now won nine in a row.

Braxton Weber was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Tyler Arnold was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Rifle's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Battle Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Husky beat Rifle by a score of 16-9 later that day.
