The Memphis Central Warriors have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 34-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Whitehaven. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Memphis Central has scored all season.

Whitehaven's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was La'niyah Moore, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Taniyah Hurt was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.

Memphis Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Whitehaven, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home.

Memphis Central will take on White Station at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitehaven won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Kingsbury at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Kingsbury is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
