Recap: Pinellas Park Patriots vs. Clearwater Tornadoes

This season hasn't been kind to the Pinellas Park Patriots, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They were beaten by Clearwater 53-18 on Friday. Pinellas Park was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-9.

Pinellas Park's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sayla Thach, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezekial Bohlmann, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds.

Clearwater's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kristopher Foote, who scored 11 points. Keshawn Andrews was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Pinellas Park has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 0-5 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Clearwater, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinellas Park will take on St. Petersburg at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Clearwater won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gibbs at 7:45 p.m. on December 9th. Gibbs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Clearwater likes a good challenge.
