Soccer Recap: North Putnam Takes a Loss

North Putnam came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Frankfort Hot Dogs, falling 7-2. While losing is never fun, North Putnam can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Frankfort are ranked 102nd).

Gage Martellaro and Kolten Hoops scored both of North Putnam's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

North Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Frankfort, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

North Putnam didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Monrovia on the 15th. As for Frankfort, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Southmont on the 16th.
