Basketball Recap: Barnwell Comes Up Short

Barnwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 60-31 loss at the hands of the Williston-Elko Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warhorses of the 63-49 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Barnwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Williston-Elko, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barnwell is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Blackville-Hilda at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Blackville-Hilda is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. As for Williston-Elko, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 234 points over their last three games.
