Volleyball Recap: Addie Pickett Key Part of Team Effort in Beacons Win

Concordia Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Sibley East on Saturday. The Beacons came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 2-0.

Concordia Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addie Pickett, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Pickett has posted over her last nine matches. Evelyn Brown was another key player, getting three digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Concordia Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 5-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Concordia Academy's record is now 10-12-1. As for Sibley East, they are on a 21-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Concordia Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Forest Lake on the 11th. As for Sibley East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clippers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
