Softball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-12 to make it ten. They lost 15-5 to the Foothill Trojans. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 22-21 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Foothill, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2025 (when they won 14-1).

For Foothill's part, they got a big performance out of Lyla Morales, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jassive Chavez, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Foothill beat West by a score of 17-5 on Thursday.
