Steelville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 12-7 to the Stoutland Tigers. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Cardinals' highest-scoring match to date.

Steelville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was GracieMae Boone, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double was Boone's first of the season.

Steelville's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Stoutland, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Steelville will venture away from home to take on Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stoutland, they will square off against Bourbon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
