Volleyball Recap: Winona Takes a Loss

Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Malakoff Tigers. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16.

Winona's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Malakoff, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Winona will face off against Harleton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Malakoff, they will square off against Ennis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
