Gonzaga Prep is 7-1 against Cheney since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bullpups will venture away from home to take on the Blackhawks at 4:00 p.m. Gonzaga Prep's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Gonzaga Prep managed to keep up with Lewis & Clark until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bullpups came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Gonzaga Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 148th, while Lewis & Clark are ranked 18th).

Meanwhile, Cheney's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Clarkston. The win made it back-to-back victories for Cheney.

Cheney's win bumped their record up to 5-6-2. As for Gonzaga Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Gonzaga Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Cheney in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bullpups since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
