Softball Recap: Pahrump Valley Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Pahrump Valley won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Vikings. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by eight runs or more this season.

Pahrump Valley got a massive performance out of Dakota Glenn, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Glenn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Pahrump Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley only posted an OBP of .273.

Pahrump Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Coming up, Pahrump Valley will venture away from home to face off against Canyon Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.15 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Valley, they will host Sunrise Mountain at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Miners at the right time seeing as the Miners are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
