Basketball Recap: Isaiah Popa and Joshua Eberhardt Secure Win for Arrowhead Christian Academy

Arrowhead Christian Academy entered their tilt with BASIS - Prescott on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the BASIS - Prescott Coyote 45-26. The Eagles pushed the score to 36-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Coyote cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Arrowhead Christian Academy to victory were Joshua Eberhardt and Isaiah Popa. Eberhardt posted six points and 11 rebounds, while Popa had six points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Arellano, who put up four points and three steals.

Arrowhead Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 23 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Raj Tung and Oliver Hadley certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Tung earned seven points along with five boards and five steals, while Hadley posted nine points and six boards. With that strong performance, Tung is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Abner Chang, who put up four points and three steals.

Arrowhead Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for BASIS - Prescott, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Arrowhead Christian Academy will host Thunderbird Adventist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thunderbird Adventist Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. As for BASIS - Prescott, they are taking a road trip to take on Orme at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
