Basketball Game Preview: Cooper Bulldogs vs. Seymour Panthers

The Cooper Bulldogs will square off against the Seymour Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cooper comes in on four and Seymour on 17.

Cooper is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Muenster as Cooper made off with a 49-28 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cooper to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jequan Brown, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 16 points and three steals. The matchup was Brown's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Adryean Mapps was another key player, putting up 14 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Seymour didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bosqueville on Friday, but they still walked away with a 59-54 win.

Cooper's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points over those games. As for Seymour, their win bumped their record up to 29-3.
