Football Recap: Strong Effort on D from Amir Lyles and Janeel Folkes Leads Southeast Guilford over Glenn + How To Watch

The Southeast Guilford Falcons strolled past the Glenn Bobcats with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 34-20. The Falcons pushed the score to 27-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Southeast Guilford's defense made their presence known, laying out Brady Robinson. six times. The heavy lifting was done by Amir Lyles and Janeel Folkes, who racked up four sacks between them. Folkes also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Southeast Guilford got some further help from Terrance Norwood: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

When it comes to explaining why Glenn lost, don't look at Robinson. Despite the final result, he threw for 117 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards.

Southeast Guilford now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Glenn, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Southeast Guilford and Glenn will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Falcons see the field they'll take on Eastern Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Glenn, their break will end when they face Atkins at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
