It was a good run, but Yorktown unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wakefield Warriors. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

Yorktown's record is now 7-3. As for Wakefield, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yorktown will venture away from home to square off against Wakefield School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wakefield, they will head out to challenge George C. Marshall at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Statesmen at the right time seeing as the Statesmen are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
