Esperanza came into Tuesday's match having lost 13 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past the Canyon Comanches 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Aztecs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Charley Duran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Esperanza's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Korte, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Esperanza's victory bumped their record up to 7-21. As for Canyon, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-9.

As of now, neither Esperanza nor the Comanches have any future games scheduled.
