Basketball Recap: McKinley Red Dragons vs. Warrensville Heights Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McKinley can now relate to. They were beaten by the Warrensville Heights Tigers 79-28 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Red Dragons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Warrensville Heights got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Katherine Mccormick out in front who went 6-for-10 to rack up 19 points. What's more, Mccormick also posted a 60% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024. Demarionna Branch was another key player, going 7-for-10 en route to 16 points.
McKinley's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Warrensville Heights, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.
McKinley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warrensville Heights, they will square off against Firelands at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
